Tristan und Isolde, Part II: by Richard Wagner; David Edgar Walther, bass-baritone/pianist with Acting Singers Project;
King Mark tells of betrayal by his wife, Isolde (Vanessa Shukkis).

Text: This glorious woman, who could proudly call her his own and not think himself blessed? Now, since by such a possession you rendered my heart more open to pain than ever before, No heaven will redeem it for me - why this hell for me?  The uncharted depths of its mysterious causes, who will make them known to the world?

Apology: Wagner was a terrible person who held some horrendous beliefs, but he also produced some beautiful musical moments. We celebrate those brief points of light!
