Volume IV. Book IV: Cantata Ballets (See listings in Volume VII. Opera):
1A. Ample Make This Bed: Set in the 1980s, this is the story of two gay men, one of whom contracts A. I. D. S..
1B. Covid-19: Completed in April of 2020 during the covid-19 pandemic, and set in 2020, "Covid-19" is the story of two lovers, who are again referred to simply as A and B.
1a. Ample/Covid-19a: 1 hour and 50 minutes for a poetry reader (A), soloist (B); trio; chorus; small to medium sized orchestra: 2 2+ 2+ 2+ 1/1/1/1 percussion, timpani; harp; strings & at least 3 dancers.
1b. Ample/Covid-19b: piano vocal version of 19a.
1c. Ample/Covid-19c: 95 minutes (55 shorter movements); reader (A); soloist (B); trio and/or small chorus; English horn, clarinet doubling bass clarinet, bassoon doubling contrabassoon; D. B. string quartet, piano, & at least 3 dancers.

Movements I., III., & V. dedicated to my husband, Andrew Hubbard; The rest dedicated to the performers, especially, II, which is dedicated to Linda Cecil.
2a. That I did Always Love: That I did Always Love: with percussion (triangle, gong and cymbals), timpani, harp, and strings.
2b. That I did Always Love: That I did Always Love: with flute doubling alto flute, harp, violin, viola, 'cello and double bass.
2c. That I did Always Love: with flute, and piano or organ. Movement II. "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee" text by Henry van Dyke; premiered by soprano, Linda Cecil and Malinda Callas, flute. Commissioned by, and performed at Christ Church, New Brunswick, NJ; (recording coming soon). Movement V "Love is like Life" for SATB; performed at Colby College, Waterville, ME under Ray Ackerman; (recording coming soon).
3. Lavender Requiem: 7 movements in 22 minutes; with soprano solo, solo SSATB quartet, chorus, percussion, timpani and string orchestra. The texts: Psalms of David, Emily Dickinson, and William Butler Yeats (English); "Kyrie eleison" (Greek); Angilbertus, Prudentius and "Requiem aeternam" (Latin). Written in memory of the victims of the Nazi "Pink Triangle." "Psalm 24" performed by at Bates College, ME under Marion Anderson and The First Unitarian Society of Cambridge. MA.
