1975:  B. A. in composition; Juilliard School of Music: Composition Teachers: Vincent Persichetti, David Diamond, and Otto Leuning. (placed out of Theory I and II and Secondary piano; honorary scholarship, Junior year.)

1979:  M. A. Trenton State Teachers' College (in vocal performance (TA in ear training): 

Ph.D. work at Boston University in composition (teaching fellow in ear training and keyboard harmony).  Teachers:  John Thow, Joyce Mekeel, and David Del Tredici 

Post Graduate:  New England and Boston Conservatories in opera (scholarships offered).

Voice Teachers:  Jerome Hines, Jeffrey Gall (Metropolitan Opera); Oren Brown, Juilliard.   

I have written over 200 pieces: over 52 hours of music.

Music performed by Copley Square Ballet Company, Kinetic Dance Theater of Moscow, M. I. T. Concert Band, Mobius, North Shore Civic Ballet,  OutLook Film and Video, NYC.  Invocation for Organ commissioned by The American Guild of Organists and is published by E. C. Schirmer.  Premiered male solos in the newly discovered chamber orchestration of the Fauré Requiem at King's Chapel, Boston, under Daniel Pinkham.

Music heard by people on five continents.  Set all of the poems of James Joyce to music, and more poems by Emily Dickinson than anyone in history.

2015  The Swallow and The Prince; grant: The Town of Dedham, MA.
2012  Hamlet, commissioned: Boston Metro Opera. 
2012  Fire Chant commissioned: Non-Verbal Sacred Chants. 
2011  Birthday on The Moon, second place: Long Leaf Opera Competition.  
2010  Antigon awarded Boston Metro Opera's Main-Stage Award in their International Composition Competition. 
2010, Alone Gd. Sufficeth Director's Prize in The Longfellow Chorus Composition Competition.
