Coffee Cantata 4. by Nicolas Bernier: Janet Wheeler, soprano; Harold Kohon, violin; and Dorothy Walters, harpsichord. Vox PL 14,000. Remastered by Mike Burke.

4. Air: Coffee! Thy juice combats the fatal poison of the bottle. Thou ravishest the drinker from the gd. of the vine. Thy charm rouses him and returns him to reason. The sage, relying on the sweetness drinks wine more freely. The daughters of memory feel thine embrace. May Apollo celebrates thy glory. His own is enhanced by thine.
