I wrote this piece when I was in my early 20s: "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee" to a poem by Henry van Dyke (picture to the right). It was premiered by & dedicated to Linda Cecil, soprano (photo below), Melinda Callis, flute and the organist at Christ Church, New Brunswick, NJ. This was my first paid commission.
